Q: How long have you altered
wedding gowns? A: I started working in bridal gown alterations in
the 10th grade in high school. There was a local company that needed an apprentice to do alterations on wedding gowns and
custom bridesmaid’s dresses. I started a bridal alterations business in Texas in 1985. I specialize
in major reconstruction. Q: How much time do you need to complete a wedding
gown? A: We prefer 4-6 weeks for the alterations. However, if you are short on time and our schedule will
allow it, we may be able to accommodate you. Please call as soon as you know that you may be short on time.
Q: What are the costs for alterations on my wedding
gown? A: Your alterations cost is determined by the amount of work that
is to be done on your bridal gown. There are gowns that are simple to alter because there is no beading or trim in the
areas of concern. Typically, that cost is lower than one that has beading or trim that has to be removed and
replaced. Another example: silk satin and tulle is more challenging to work with than matte satin. Q: Can you give an estimate over the phone? A: Bridal gowns come in such a wide range of styles
and designers that we do not give estimates over the phone. Unless we see how your wedding gown fits you, and the construction
of your bridal gown, we won't know what it will take to alter it to fit your body. Feel free to call us for
a no-obligation appointment today.
Q: Do you guarantee your work? A: We
guarantee all work done by us! If you have any problems or concerns at anytime with our workmanship or service, please
call Margo as soon as you know and she will make it right. I can fix it, if I am aware of it.
